Piggy Picasso's??

Ok, so I know I stated that this blog is about beauty and anything that relates to it, but there are some things that are just too irresistible when it comes to not passing it on.

Came across this article in a forum and I just had to share it with you all cause it is just so gosh darned cute!!

Face Shape and Shaping your eyebrows

Did you know that knowing your face shape could dramatically help the way you should shape your eye brows? I mean, sure we've heard the whole bit about using the orange stick and measuring from your nose the corners of your eyes.

But did you know that there are certain ways to shape your brows to make your face seem longer or shorter?
I found this article while searching the web and thought I'd share it with all of you. Happy Shaping!

So Let's Talk Skin Care

When I stress, I break out (I have a margarita or two as well, but that's besides the point). Over the past couple of months, I've had to deal with more stress than usual. My husband is in the military, and because of that, we are always moving. I've been married to him for 4 1/2 years, and in that small amount of time we've lived in three different states. Having to pack up, leave the "family" that you just adopted, and move to a place where everything is new, nothing is known, and not knowing if all of your household goods will still be in one piece when you get there is pretty stressful to say the least. Needless to say, I haven't loved my face very much for the past couple of months with unpacking everything, getting situated, and making sure all the bills are paid. (I can't even imagine how Army wives WITH kids do it!!) Anyhoo, I decided to finally break down and look into Clinique's skin care line. I've had their 3-step products for a few months, but hadn't been using it. Instead, I was something that you could get from your very own, very local Walmart.
I pulled out my 3-step stuff and started using twice a day as normal. Let me tell you, my blemishes have practically ceased to exist! And my skin looks healthier than ever! Because I've had fewer blemishes, my foundation/concealer, powder application has been easier to apply, and has been going on more smoothly. I highly recommend Clinique's 3-step system for anybody - especially if you have sensitive skin. I also recommend their pore minimizer refining lotion if you have bigger than average pores. I've been using it on my cheeks, the tip of my nose, and my forehead for the past week and a half, and I have already noticed that my pores are less noticeable from when I started.
If you're looking for a moisturizer with an SPF in it for your fun in the sun summer extravaganzas, make sure you grab Clinique's Superdefense Triple Action Moiturizer with SPF 25. I have the one for combination oily to oily skin. I put it on at the beginning of my day and by the time night comes around, my face still looks fresh. The moisturizer goes on light and smooth and doesn't feel heavy like some other SPF moisturizers I've used.
Last but not least, Clinique has something called Turnaround Concentrate Visible Skin Renewer. It is because of this stuff that my blemish "scars" have become less visible, and my uneven skintone has become, well, more even. I have yet to try their 15-minute mask that goes along this lotion, but once I get the chance to try it, I'll let know how well it fares.
Overall, I guess I would recommend anything Clinique to anybody who asked. The fact that I've tried about 5-6 different products and they've done nothing but good things, well, let's just say I'm sold.

Who Says Brown Eyes Can't Have Fun?!

Ok. So I remember when I was in middle school, I had this one teacher who had brown eyes, but she would wear blue or green eyeliners, and my friends would make fun of her behind her back about wearing an eyeliner that clashed with her eye color. Now granted, that was all she would wear---no eyeshadow, blush, or lipstick---with a touch of mascara, so it didn't really look all that great. However, I also remember hearing that people who have brown eyes should not, under any circumstances, wear blue eyeshadow--or any other color for that matter other than browns and neutrals.
Now, I was wondering-Who made up this rule?! Why should the only people who get to have fun with colors be people with blue, green or hazel eyes?! That's like saying "blondes have more fun" or "red-heads are quick to lose their temper"! Now while I know a couple of red-heads who suit that statement, it's not always true. This rule applies to wearing eye makeup too. I have your basic, boring, brown eyes, and alot of times, I see questions on yahoo answers like "I have brown eyes. What type of neutral colors will make my eyes pop?"
Fact is guys and girls, you can wear whatever your little heart desires. Fun and flirty has branched out to everyone now, and it's not just the blodnes with the blue eyes who get to have all the fun. As long as you know how to pick colors to compliment your skintone, and as long as you know how to blend those colors, you can get away with wearing anything! Wearing makeup is all about two things: 1) wearing it to look the way you want it to look, and 2) wearing it to make you look the way you want to look. Don't fall into the stereotypical society that believes you should only wear one color and one color alone. Granted, some colors make your eyes stand out more than other colors; but that doesn't mean you should limit yourself. On that note, here's a video on wearing blue eyeshadow...and I have brown eyes.

A natural look

In this video I used MAC's Honey Lust and Tempting Eyeshadows to create a natural look with an added touch of sparkle!

A tutorial on applying pink & blue eyeshadow...kinda reminds me of cotton candy!! =D

Because beauty isn't just skin deep.

Because as much as I try to tell myself the above, I can still be vain. :P
